Genesis

Training Alternatives was
formed in 1998 in a one room office that was part of Santhosh’s residence on the 7th floor of a Noida apartment
complex. The initial workshops and interventions focused
more on
motivation and attitudinal change and the first
set of workshops were for the Sales team of Nestle and
second was a two day workshop for the senior management of LG Electronics where the “fire walk” was used for the
first time.
The pet snake Santhosh used for belief and mindset change,
the “fire walk” and the hypnosis demonstration are some of
the things participants still remember about those
workshops. It was in 2000, we helped Bharti Telesoft with
their Vision and Mission workshops and a number of
outbound workshops aiming at
team effectiveness and
leadership. Since then we have done workshops on Vision,
Mission and Values, Leadership, Team Effectiveness,
Creativity and Innovation, Managerial Effectiveness,
Positive Attitude and Motivation, Managing Change,
Coaching and Mentoring skills and Conflict Resolution.
With a deep understanding of System Behavior and expertise
in Large System Interventions, Training Alternatives then
moved on to become ODA (Organization Development
Alternatives) focusing on Whole System Change and
Transformation, using behavioral skills knowledge.
People who have been a part of this journey are many. Some
of them whom we would like to mention are Sukhdeepak
Malvai, who now runs a successful training company;
Tathagat and Rohini, who moved on to start their own
training outfit; Subhashis, who still works with us as a
freelancer; Sanjay Pandey, who has his own training
company and Seema Middya, who is an independent training
professional now.
